We had the most incredible food at this location! I am baffled the reviews are under 5 stars. We were in Greece for two weeks, we spent 2 days at the end in Athens and we ate here 5 times.The first time we got the best caipirinhas we’ve ever had to drink, a Greek salad, a pizza, and a gyro plate for lunch. We then went to a restaurant right by the acropolis for dinner later in the evening and it was so bad we left and went back here for an actual incredible dinner.We had lunch and dinner and went back for a desert here the next night as well. The waiters were all incredibly kind, helpful, and so funny!I didn’t have a single item I didn’t like and we tried as much as humanly possible as it was our last Greek meals for the trip.Thank you all for being so great and welcoming and giving us the best experience and food!

A wonderful experience overall. Food was good and the staff were very friendly and attentive. 2 of us we had a Grilled Octopus, a Skewer of Lamb and a Grilled Fish. They all tasted perfect and I would recommend the Grilled Fish is a MUST try! We end our meals with a huge slice of Baclava and a Coffee. In addition too the good food, they are reasonably price!

Pericles was amazing and took very good care of us! Food and service were A. We have eaten here twice and were completely pleased both times. We highly recommend! (Pictures were from two meals). We also had pita and hummus but I didn't take a picture of that. Thank you for two enjoyable meals!

This restaurant is in the heart of Plaka district. It's a huge menu. We preferred aubergine salad, feta cheese in the oven, moussakka, grilled calamari, fresh bread and beverages. (Ouzo, water, espresso) The employees are polite. We paid 57 I think this prices are affordable. Sometimes Traditional musicians visited the restaurant and changed the atmosphere. I liked this performances.

We chose this restaurant for dinner randomly out of the many in the neighborhood. The outdoor seating with heaters was very comfortable and allowed us to watch the tourists walking by. The food and service were excellent! We had the marinated anchovies, cold meze platter, vegetarian moussaka, and the lamb chops, ordered rare. All the food was excellent, and the lamb chops were actually served rare as requested. The dips were very fresh. We were also served small glasses off a complimentary dessert wine which was too sweet for my tastes but fun.

Estia Tavern totally blew me away — the food is ridiculously delicious. Every single dish we tried was full of flavor and clearly made with love. The service? Next level. Super friendly, fast, and they really make you feel at home. And the best part? The prices are more than fair for the quality you get. Honestly, it’s one of those spots you keep thinking about long after the meal is over. If you’re in the area, do yourself a favor and go. You won’t regret it!

We have eaten 4 evenings in a row during our stay at Athens .The service was great of the very hard working and very kind staff .The Greek food was super !The pizza too !The homemade dolmadakia’s are the very best we have ever eaten !Estia taverna is in our hearts 4ever !
